Schooling in Hong Kong

Education in Hong Kong offers a range of schooling for children of all ages and is quite comprehensive, although class numbers can vary in size and tend to be larger than in other countries. Depending on your length of stay in Hong Kong or where you decide to take up residence, parents have the option of sending their children to one of the following categories of schools:

Local school (medium of education in Cantonese/Mandarin)
English schools Foundation system
International school
Other private school

Depending on which school your children attend will depend on which curriculum you want them to follow. Many of the ESF Schools in Hong Kong follow the curriculum offered in the UK, while other schools follow the International Baccalaureate programme. The other private schools cater for the curriculum in America, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Korea, Norway, Singapore and Switzerland.
