The Joyce Warehouse has taken local shopaholics by storm: it's an outlet for women's and men's fashions in the ritzy Joyce Boutiques in Central and Pacific Place, with labels by such major designers as Jil Sander and Giorgio Armani. Prices for each garment are reduced by about 10% each month, so the longer the piece stays on the rack the less it costs. The outlet is open Tuesday to Saturday 10-6 and Sunday noon-6. Take Bus 90 from Exchange Square and get off at Ap Lei Chau; from there it's easiest to get a taxi to Horizon Plaza, a three- to four-minute ride.

The Pedder Building 12 Pedder St.

The Pedder Building, just a few feet from a Central MTR exit, contains five floors of small shops. The number of shops offering discounts of around 30% off retail -- and sometimes more -- seems to be growing.
